Downtown Chiang Mai is one of the highlights of Thailand that makes it a perfect choice for a tourist destination. You can easily spend hours exploring and admiring the beauty of the ruins and then taking walks with the elephants. Moreover, the people of Thailand are mostly friendly and kind towards foreign visitors. Besides, Thai food is also one of the strengths of this South Asian country. It is rich and varied, but also better in many ways. This is the case of the famous Tom Yam Goong which is certainly the most famous Thai dish in the world.

Moreover, summer is the best time to visit Thailand. During this season, the rains are rather rare and the temperatures are more bearable, ideal for enjoying the beaches and the sun. Better still, many cultural events take place all over the country during this season. You can then go to Thailand by requesting any operational airline. Note, however, that summer is not the only season to visit this beautiful country. Just ask about the weather some time before, in order to find an interesting alternative.

Adopted on September 28, 1917 by the decree of King Rama VI, the current version of the Thai flag features three colors in five horizontal stripes each with meaning.

Red represents the blood that was shed to maintain the country’s independence. One can read in the white, the faith and the purity of Buddhism which is the main religion of the country. Blue is not only the color of the country, but also that of the monarchy.

This color also reflects a symbol of recognition towards the allies of Thailand during the First World War. These are primarily Great Britain, France, the USA and Russia.

Since the advent of COVID-19, Thailand has been updating its health measures for people wishing to visit. These measures put in place consist in evaluating whether the latter are positive or negative for the virus. Indeed, the PCR test before departure has been abolished since April 1, 2022. Travelers must therefore present proof of vaccination against Covid-19. Those who have been vaccinated against this disease therefore have the entry pass to Thailand without being quarantined. However, they must have an e-Visa and a Thailand Pass which will be issued before departure.

Tourists must also provide proof of the reservation of one night in an approved hotel, the vaccination certificate and the negative rt pcr test of less than 72 hours before their trip. They must also have proof of subscription to medical insurance and the Thailand Pass QR code to be generated online. Hotels approved by the authorities are recognized by their “SHA Extra Plus”, “AQ”, “OQ” or even “AHQ” labels.

For travelers who are not or partially vaccinated, health measures require them to observe a quarantine period of only 10 days upon arrival in Thailand. This is also the case for people who tested positive. However, Thai authorities have announced that the quarantine period will be reduced to 5 days.

As for travelers aged 18 and over, they must have a full vaccination certificate. The latter must be from one of the vaccines approved by the Thai Ministry of Public Health: (Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna, Sinopharm, Sputnik V). These vaccinations must be done at least 14 days before the departure date in order to present the test result. Younger travelers, that is to say aged under 18, are required to be vaccinated with at least one dose of an approved vaccine at least 14 days before the date of departure. People traveling with their parents are exempt from this requirement.

Thailand is full of multiple beaches ideal for moments of relaxation. If you are planning to visit this country, here are some of the beaches to go for because of their attractive and friendly features.

Railay Beach

In Thailand, Railay is one of the most recognized beaches to attract a large number of visitors. Located in the province of Krabi, Railay Beach claims to be the most beautiful on the entire west coast. You won’t be disappointed when you set foot there. It is characterized by a heavenly landscape, crystal clear waters filled with corals and multicolored tropical fish and majestic rocks. You can do several activities there such as diving or snorkeling.

Maya beach

It is impossible to talk about beaches in Thailand without mentioning the famous Maya Beach, which became too famous for the film “The Beach” in 1999 with Leonardo DiCaprio and Virginie Ledoyen. This beach is special thanks to its beautiful and immense cliffs as well as its beautiful wild landscape. However, it is not always free of access to tourists. This measure consists in preserving its highly threatened ecosystem.

bottle beach

Only accessible by water taxi, this beach is one of the most fascinating places in Thailand. The waters are perfect for swimming in a beautiful landscape. Also, towards the afternoon, this beach is particularly calm and silent when the last boats disappear. It is therefore an ideal beach for lovers of calm and tranquility.
