Summer Game Fest 2022: the FULL recap of Xbox announcements | Xbox One

Summer Game Fest 2022 – The Full Event Summary

  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II: While a trailer was presented to you yesterday, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II returned last night with a 7-minute gameplay video that presents the contours of the single-player campaign. A very energetic video with the relentless Task Force 141. In addition to its single player mode, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will also offer a multiplayer mode which will be unveiled this summer. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be available from October 28, 2022 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC as well as Xbox Series X|S and PS5.

  • The Callisto Protocol: Announced for a release in December 2022 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC, The Callisto Protocol offered a very creepy trailer in which we can appreciate all the know-how of Striking Remote Studios. Remember that the game takes place in 2230 on Callisto, a moon of Jupiter. Locked in a maximum security unit called “Black Iron”, you will try to escape while discovering the countless secrets it contains.
  • Gotham Knights: While a gameplay video was presented to us last May, Gotham Knights took advantage of the Summer Game Fest 2022 to return with a new video in which Nightwing is in the spotlight, walking the streets of Gotham. Released October 25 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
  • Cuphead – The Delicious Last Course: a real hit of the year 2017, Cuphead has never ceased to amaze us with its retro animated style of the 30s and its difficult difficulty; a component that did not prevent the game from the MDHR studio from finding its audience. Its DLC called “Delicious Last Course” featuring Ms. Chalice gave us the pleasure of appearing with a beautiful gameplay video. Release scheduled for June 30 on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC.
  • Humankind: Already present on PC and in the PC Game Pass, Humankind will soon also be available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. A trailer was released on this occasion.
  • Soul Hackers 2: Did you forget that Soul Hackers 2 is preparing its arrival on Xbox consoles? If this is the case, know that Atlus Studios has taken care of reminding you with the release of a new trailer. Released August 26, 2022 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam.
  • Layers Of Fears: Teased earlier this year, Layers Of Fears finally showed itself through a terrifying trailer. This survival horror will be available in the course of 2023, only on Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC.
  • Flashback 2: Classics never die. 30 years after the release of the first opus, the mythical Flashback license will make its return in Flashback 2. Conrad and his friends are once again confronted with the Morphs. Ian has just been kidnapped and Conrad must absolutely find him if he finally wants to know the answers to the many questions he asks himself. Unlike the first part, this sequel will be available on consoles in addition to the PC. Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and even Nintendo Switch are announced.   • Warhammer 40,000: Darktide: Will you take a small dose of Warhammer again? The Darktide opus came for a little tour during the Summer Game Fest 2022, with a bloody trailer. Released September 13 exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. The game will even be available Day One in the Xbox Game Pass.
  • Marvel’s Midnight Suns: Teased a few hours earlier on the event’s Twitter account, Marvel’s Midnight Suns dropped by the Summer Game Fest 2022. The turn-based RPG from Firaxis Games studio took the opportunity to unveil a new trailer focused on its story, while confirming the release date mentioned a few days ago. See you on October 7 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC.
  • Midnight Fight Express: Want to do battle on Midnight Fight Express? Good news. The game arrives on August 23 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. The game will also be available in the Xbox Game Pass. Before that, we let you enjoy the latest trailer.
  • ROUTINE: Announced 10 years ago, ROUTINE finally returned to the spotlight during the Summer Game Fest 2022 with a trailer. This first-person survival horror will take you to an abandoned lunar base designed thanks to a vision of the future dating back to the 80s. Your mission within these walls promises to be breathtaking, but also very perilous. If no release date has yet been announced, we know that the title will be exclusive to Xbox consoles with integration into the Xbox Game Pass. A PC release is also planned.
  • Outriders: Before its release scheduled for June 30, the DLC Worldslayer has offered a new trailer highlighting all aspects of cooperation. There are still dozens of hours of games waiting for you on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. Don’t forget that buying Worldslayer also includes the base game. Otherwise, you can opt for the upgrade, ideal for Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming players.
  • Aliens: Dark Descent: The Summer Game Fest 2022 will also have had its dose of Xenomorphs with Aliens: Dark Descent. A brand new tactical action-oriented software, published by Focus Home Interactive and in which you will control a squad of Colonial Marines whose mission will be to put an end to an invasion of Aliens in open levels. Its release is expected for 2023 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC

  • Street Fighter 6: Our celebrant Geoff Keighley had also revealed it on Twitter, Street Fighter 6 made a new appearance during the Summer Game Fest. If the mechanics of gameplay were honored, the trailer also allowed us to see some characters from the cast like Ryu and Guile. The game is expected for 2023 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. Note that the Xbox One is still not part of the media announced.
  • Saints Row: After more than a year of waiting, Saints Row is only a few weeks away from its release. The software therefore wanted to make a small appearance during the Summer Game Fest 2022 with a brand new video. The height of luxury, the character editor is available now.   • Planet of Lana: As expected, Planet of Lana graced Summer Game Fest 2022 with its presence. In addition to its new gameplay video that transports us with as much magic as ever, the game now has a release date. Planet of Lana will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
  • Goat Simulator 3: He too decided to break the two to go directly to the third part. On the program, new customizable races and maximum fun. Goat Simulator 3 will be playable in co-op up to 4 players, locally or online and with 7 mini-games available in multiplayer. Release planned for the end of the year on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC via the Epic Games Store.
  • Fall Guys: Just before its release set for June 21 on Xbox Series X | S and Nintendo Switch, Fall Guys took advantage of the show organized by Geoff Keighley to present us with a brand new trailer.
  • Nightingale: The title has offered a brand new gameplay trailer highlighting the Realm Cards, powerful cards that will influence your passages through the game’s portal network. Still no release date announced.
  • Metal: Hellsinger: For those who have rhythm in their skin, rejoice, Metal: Hellsinger arrives on September 15 on Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC. As its title suggests, the software will offer many metal songs that you will have to resume using powerful weapons at the right time.
  • Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium Retro lovers will have plenty to do with Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium and its 32 Arcade games. Between Street Fighter, Capcom Sports Club or even Saturday Night Slam Masters you will have something for everyone. Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium is coming July 22 to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
  • One Piece Odyssey: Luffy showed up again to illustrate the world of One Piece Odyssey. Expected release in 2022 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.
  • Stormgate: Former members of Activision Blizzard took advantage of the Summer Game Fest to present their brand new game from Frost Giant studio. The free-to-play RTS will be playable in beta in 2023.
  • Escape Academy: In addition to survival horror and other RPGs, puzzle games were also in the spotlight during the Summer Game Fest 2022. Escape Academy is a worthy representative. This new puzzle game will put your brain to the test from July 14 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam. A day one integration into the Xbox Game Pass will also take place.
