And soon, she will add a third season to her CV. Check out everything there is to know about Outer Banks Season 3 below.

Outer Banks season 3 release date

April 15, 2020 marked the grand debut of the adventure series Outer Banks on the Netflix streaming platform. Since then, the series has been renewed for a second season and aired on July 30, 2021. In just two years, the series has gleaned some accolades. This was particularly the case during the People’s Choice Awards 2020 with nominations for the television series of the year or even the dramatic television series.

Actor Chase Stokes who portrays lead character John B has won acclaim for his performance. With such success, it is not surprising to see the series renewed. And that’s what Netflix did on December 7, 2021 a few months after the release of season 2. Since this announcement, the actors returned to the sets in February and filming should end on August 19. As for the release date of season 3, we must count on the month of December 2022 or so at the beginning of the year 2023.

The new season trailer

As of now, there is no official trailer available for Outer Banks Season 3.

The plot of season 3

Netflix still hasn’t released any more details about the content for the new season of Outer Banks. But if we have to extrapolate, it is more than likely that season 3 will continue on the same line as the season finale. John B and the other members of the “Pogues” will once again embark on a treasure hunt, just like in seasons 1 and 2. After having to leave empty-handed after their escapade on the ship Coastal Venture, the ” Pogues” cannot remain on this bad note.

Series creators Jonas Pate, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke haven’t revealed much about the plot for Season 3. However, they don’t plan to loosen the noose around the mysterious treasure too soon. This is one of the things that we remember from the views of Josh Pate. The latter affirms that: “The treasure must become a greater mystery throughout the series. And so treasure hunting is going to expand, and the mythology around treasure hunting is going to evolve and deepen. »
